A native of West Friendship, MD, violinist Sean Larkin has been performing and teaching in Boston since 2010. Sean received his Master of Music degree from Boston University as a student of Bayla Keyes and his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Maryland, where he studied with David Salness and renowned pedagogue Gerald Fischbach. He has also participated in lessons, coachings, and masterclasses with the Guarneri Quartet, Muir Quartet, and Steven Isserlis. He was the winner of the 2011 Duxbury Music Festival Chamber Competition and the recipient of the George and Ruth Tretter Performing Arts Award at the University of Maryland.

Sean has played with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, the Marsh Chapel Collegium and Choir, and the Emmanuel Music Bach Institute. He has performed under such world-class conductors as John Harbison, Ryan Turner, Keith Lockhart, and JoAnn Falletta and such soloists as Yo Yo Ma, Leila Josefowicz, and Jon Kimura Parker.
